1 Chronicles 17:12 meaning and explanation
He will build a house for Me, and I will establish his throne forever.
1 Chronicles 17:12, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words come from God's message through the prophet Nathan to David, who wanted to build a temple but was told that his son would do it instead. The "house" here means the temple, while the promise of an everlasting throne points beyond any single king.
