Explanation preview

The Chronicler reports that David set apart for the LORD the gold, silver and bronze articles sent by Tou of Hamath, together with plunder taken from Edom, Moab, Ammon, Philistia and Amalek. In this chapter the narrator credits David's victories to the LORD, who made him victorious wherever he went, and shows the king treating war spoils as holy property rather than personal wealth.
