1 Chronicles 20:3 meaning and explanation

1 Chronicles 20:3, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

The Chronicler reports David's treatment of the Ammonites after Rabbah fell. The Hebrew is difficult, and the BSB's "put them to work" reflects a reading that the people were conscripted to labor with saws, picks and axes, though other translations understand the verse as describing execution.
