This verse continues the list of gatekeepers for the temple, here naming the sons of Hosah, a Merarite Levite. The Chronicler is organizing the families who would guard the entrances to the house of the LORD, and verse 10 has just explained that Shimri, though not the firstborn, was appointed first by his father.
