1 Corinthians 11:6 meaning and explanation
If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.
1 Corinthians 11:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to the church in Corinth about how men and women should dress and behave when they pray and prophesy in public worship. Here he argues from shame: if a woman refuses a head covering, she might as well have her hair cut off, which in that culture marked a woman as disgraced.
