1 John 3:24 meaning and explanation
Whoever keeps His commandments remains in God, and God in him. And by this we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit He has given us.

John has just summed up God's command as believing in Jesus and loving one another, and here he describes the result of keeping it. The Greek word meno, "remain," is a favorite of this letter: it pictures a settled, mutual indwelling, the believer in God and God in the believer.
