1 Kings 13:30 meaning and explanation
Then he laid the body in his own tomb, and they lamented over him, “Oh, my brother!”
1 Kings 13:30, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The old prophet from Bethel has just brought back the body of the man of God from Judah, killed by a lion after he disobeyed the LORD and ate in Bethel. Now he lays him in his own tomb and leads the lament, “Oh, my brother.” The cry is striking because the two were not brothers by blood, and the old prophet had deceived him.
