I will make your house like that of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like that of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have provoked My anger and caused Israel to sin.’

These words come from the LORD through the prophet Elijah, spoken to King Ahab in the vineyard he had just seized after Naboth's judicial murder. The "house" means Ahab's dynasty, and the comparison is ominous: Jeroboam and Baasha were earlier northern kings whose families were wiped out because of idolatry and the leading of Israel into sin.
