1 Peter 4:13 meaning and explanation
But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.
1 Peter 4:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Peter writes to Christians scattered across Asia Minor who are insulted and ostracized for leaving behind the pagan social life around them. In verse 13 he does not ask them to enjoy pain but to reframe it: suffering for the name of Christ is a share in Christ's own sufferings, a kind of fellowship with him.
