1 Samuel 23:29, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
This closing verse follows the dramatic moment when a Philistine raid forced Saul to break off his pursuit of David, a place remembered as the Rock of Escape. David moves from the Wilderness of Maon down to the strongholds of En-gedi, an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea, a landscape of cliffs and caves well suited to a fugitive.
