1 Samuel 9:13 meaning and explanation
As soon as you enter the city, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; after that, the guests will eat. Go up at once; you will find him.”
1 Samuel 9:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These are the words of the young women drawing water, answering Saul and his servant as they climb toward the city. The women explain why the seer can be found now: Samuel has come for a sacrifice on the high place, and the communal meal cannot begin until he arrives to bless the sacrifice.
