Zedekiah, the leader of Ahab's four hundred court prophets, has just struck Micaiah in the face and mocked him, asking which way the Spirit of the LORD went when He left Zedekiah to speak through Micaiah. Micaiah answers with a veiled prediction: Zedekiah will see the truth on the day he hides in an inner room, the innermost chamber of a house, the place a person retreats to for secrecy or safety.
