Explanation preview
This verse comes near the end of the Chronicler's account of King Uzziah of Judah, a king who began well and ended in isolation because of his pride. The writer notes that the rest of Uzziah's deeds were written down by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz, the same Isaiah whose book opens with a vision set in the year Uzziah died.
