2 Chronicles 28:6, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

The Chronicler reports a battle during the Syro-Ephraimite crisis, when King Pekah of Israel and King Rezin of Aram pressed Judah. Ahaz had abandoned the LORD for Baals and even sacrificed his sons, so verse 6 interprets the slaughter of 120,000 Judean soldiers as judgment for that covenant unfaithfulness.
