2 Chronicles 29:3, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Hezekiah has just inherited a kingdom from his father Ahaz, who had shut the temple doors and set up idols instead (2 Chronicles 28:24). The Chronicler presents the new king acting at once, in the first month of his first year, reopening what his father closed and repairing what had been left to decay.
