Explanation preview

The Chronicler describes Solomon's construction of the temple, and here he reports the inner curtain, the veil, made of blue, purple and crimson yarn and fine linen, with cherubim woven into it. In the tabernacle and temple this veil screened the Most Holy Place, the inner room where the ark stood and where the high priest entered only once a year.
