2 Chronicles 32:4, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Hezekiah, king of Judah, has learned that Sennacherib of Assyria is invading, so he and his officials plan to cut off the water outside Jerusalem before the siege begins. Verse 4 shows how widely the plan was carried out: a large crowd of ordinary people joined in, stopping up the springs and the stream running through the land so the enemy would find no water.
