2 Corinthians 6:16 meaning and explanation
What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.”
2 Corinthians 6:16, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to the church at Corinth, urging believers to separate from idolatry and to open their hearts to him. In verse 16 he asks what agreement God's temple can have with idols, then grounds the appeal in Old Testament promises: God will dwell and walk among His people and be their God.
