Nebuzaradan, the Babylonian captain of the guard, has just rounded up the leaders of Jerusalem after the city fell: the chief priest, a court official, royal advisors, a scribe and sixty men. He brings them to Nebuchadnezzar at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, where the king is directing the campaign.
