2 Samuel 20:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Sheba, the Benjamite rebel who just denounced David, is moving north through Israel's tribal territories, gathering support after the men of Judah stayed loyal to the king. Abel-beth-maacah was a fortified town in the far north, near Dan, and the Berites are otherwise unknown; the Hebrew simply names a clan or region that joined his cause.
