Explanation preview
Paul is in Philippi, on his first mission journey into Europe, and a slave girl with a spirit of divination has followed him and his companions for days, shouting that they are servants of the Most High God. Her words are true, but Paul will not accept testimony from an unclean spirit, so he turns and commands it to leave her in the name of Jesus Christ, and it departs at once.
