Acts 16:3 meaning and explanation
Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, so he took him and circumcised him on account of the Jews in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

Paul is beginning his second journey and wants Timothy, a young disciple well spoken of in Lystra and Iconium, to travel with him. Timothy's mother was Jewish and his father Greek, so he had apparently not been circumcised.
