Acts 18:1 meaning and explanation
After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.
Acts 18:1, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Acts 18 opens with Paul moving on from Athens, where his preaching had met with only modest response, and traveling roughly fifty miles west to Corinth, a busy commercial city and the capital of the Roman province of Achaia. Luke, the author, narrates the journey plainly, but the move marks a new phase: in Corinth Paul will stay far longer than in most cities.
