Acts 27:16, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

The narrator, a companion of Paul, is describing the shipwreck voyage toward Rome, and here he tells how the ship, driven by a violent northeaster, passed the sheltered side of a small island called Cauda. The Greek word for the vessel they secured, skaphē, means the ship's small boat, normally towed behind and now in danger of being smashed.
