When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing.

Philip has just baptized the Ethiopian official, a court treasurer who had been reading Isaiah and asked Philip to explain it. As they come up from the water, the Spirit of the Lord carries Philip away, and the official never sees him again.
