Acts 9:22 meaning and explanation
But Saul was empowered all the more, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.
Acts 9:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Saul has just begun preaching in the Damascus synagogues, only days after arriving to arrest believers there. Luke tells us Saul grew stronger, and the Greek verb behind "empowered" suggests increasing inward strength rather than mere confidence.
