Colossians 2:5 meaning and explanation
For although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I delight to see your orderly condition and firm faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:5, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul writes to a congregation he has never visited, likely founded by Epaphras, and he has just described his concern for them and for the church at Laodicea. Though physically absent, he says he is with them in spirit, a claim of genuine pastoral presence rather than mere sentiment.
