Colossians 4:13 meaning and explanation
For I testify about him that he goes to great pains for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.
Colossians 4:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing from prison to the church at Colossae, and here he commends Epaphras, a native of that city who first brought the gospel to it. Epaphras is not merely praying; Paul says he "goes to great pains," a phrase suggesting strenuous labor, and the same verb pictures him wrestling in prayer in the previous verse.
