Daniel 3:12 meaning and explanation

But there are some Jews you have appointed to manage the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—who have ignored you, O king, and have refused to serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”

Daniel 3:12, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

These words come from certain astrologers who approach King Nebuchadnezzar after the crowd has bowed to his golden statue. They name Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Jews the king had placed over the province of Babylon, and accuse them of ignoring the royal decree by refusing to serve Babylon's gods or worship the image.
