Daniel 3:22 meaning and explanation
The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Daniel 3:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Nebuchadnezzar has ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual after Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refuse to worship his golden statue. The verse notes a grim irony: the king's own soldiers, obeying an urgent command, die from the flames while the condemned men fall into the fire bound but alive.
