Daniel 4:37 meaning and explanation

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all His works are true and all His ways are just. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

Daniel 4:37, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

These are the closing words of King Nebuchadnezzar's own account, written after his pride brought him low. Chapter 4 records his dream of a great tree cut down to a stump, Daniel's interpretation that the king himself would lose his reason and live like a beast, and the fulfillment a year later when he boasted about Babylon.
