Daniel 6:17 meaning and explanation

Daniel 6:17, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Darius has just ordered Daniel thrown into the lions' den, though the king himself was distressed and had labored to rescue him. The stone closing the den and the seals pressed into it with the king's signet and his nobles' rings made the sentence legally final, in keeping with the unchangeable law of the Medes and Persians.
