Daniel 6:22 meaning and explanation
My God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, for I was found innocent in His sight, and I have done no wrong against you, O king.”
Daniel 6:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Daniel speaks from inside the lions' den at dawn, answering King Darius, who has spent a sleepless night fasting and now calls down in anguish to ask whether Daniel's God could rescue him. Daniel credits his survival not to luck or courage but to God's messenger, an angel who shut the lions' mouths.
