Daniel has just been told that the four beasts represent four kingdoms, but the fourth one troubles him enough to ask again. He is speaking with an interpreting angel in his night vision, and he presses for detail about the beast that is unlike the others: terrifying, with iron teeth and bronze claws, devouring, crushing and trampling what remains.
