Deuteronomy 1:8 meaning and explanation
See, I have placed the land before you. Enter and possess the land that the LORD swore He would give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants after them.”
Deuteronomy 1:8, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses is speaking to the Israelites on the plains of Moab, retelling what the LORD said at Horeb (Mount Sinai) nearly forty years earlier. The command comes directly from God: the land is already "placed before" them, a gift secured by oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
