Deuteronomy 11:5 meaning and explanation

what He did for you in the wilderness until you reached this place;

Deuteronomy 11:5, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Moses is speaking to the Israelites on the plains of Moab, just east of the Jordan, as the generation that would enter Canaan is told to remember what God did during the wilderness years. Verse 5 is part of a list of remembered acts, and it is the quietest item on it: not the plagues or the sea, but the long, unglamorous provision of the journey itself.
