Deuteronomy 14:19 meaning and explanation
All flying insects are unclean for you; they may not be eaten.
Deuteronomy 14:19, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses is speaking to the Israelites on the plains of Moab, setting out the food laws that mark them as a people set apart for God. In this chapter the clean and unclean creatures are sorted by kind, and winged swarming things fall on the unclean side, though verse 20 immediately allows clean birds.
