Ecclesiastes 7:20 meaning and explanation
Surely there is no righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
Ecclesiastes 7:20, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The Teacher, the voice of Ecclesiastes, draws a plain conclusion from his wide observation of life: no person on earth does good so consistently as never to sin. This fits the chapter's warnings against pretending to be overly righteous (verse 16) and its counsel not to hang on every word others speak (verses 21 to 22).
