Exodus 13:14, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Moses is speaking to the Israelites as they leave Egypt, instructing them about the annual festival of Unleavened Bread and the consecration of firstborn sons. Verse 14 anticipates a child asking what these rituals mean, and the answer is not an explanation of the ceremony itself but a retelling of the exodus: God brought Israel out of Egypt "with a mighty hand." The Hebrew word for "mighty" here is chazaq, meaning strong or firm.
