Exodus 15:2 meaning and explanation
The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
Exodus 15:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses and the Israelites sing this line just after crossing the sea and seeing Pharaoh's army drowned. The song moves from describing God's victory to personal trust: the LORD is "my strength and my song," the one who has become "my salvation." The Hebrew word for salvation, yeshuah, means rescue or deliverance, and here it names what God has just done at the water.
