Exodus 16:22 meaning and explanation
On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much food—two omers per person—and all the leaders of the congregation came and reported this to Moses.
Exodus 16:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The people are a month out of Egypt, camped in the Desert of Sin, and God has already told Moses that the sixth day's gathering will yield double so the Sabbath can be kept (verses 4 to 5). Here that command works out in practice: each person collects two omers instead of one.
