Exodus 2:8, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Pharaoh’s daughter has just pulled the crying infant from the Nile and recognized him as a Hebrew child. Moses’ sister, standing nearby, offers to find a Hebrew woman to nurse him, and the princess simply says, “Go ahead.” The girl runs to fetch the baby’s own mother, so the very woman who hid him now receives him back, and the next verse adds that she is paid wages for it.
