Exodus 29:14 meaning and explanation

But burn the flesh of the bull and its hide and dung outside the camp; it is a sin offering.

Exodus 29:14, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

In this ordination ritual, Moses is told to slaughter the bull as a sin offering for Aaron and his sons, who have laid their hands on its head. The blood goes on the altar's horns and the fat is burned there, but the flesh, hide and dung must be carried outside the camp and burned, because the sin offering's remains are not eaten in this case.
