Exodus 29:34 meaning and explanation
And if any of the meat of ordination or any bread is left until the morning, you are to burn up the remainder. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.
Exodus 29:34, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These instructions come from God to Moses on Mount Sinai, as part of the seven day ceremony setting apart Aaron and his sons as priests. The meat and bread of the ordination offering were holy, set apart for the sanctuary, so any portion left until morning could not be kept or eaten as ordinary food.
