Exodus 30:4 meaning and explanation
And make two gold rings below the molding on opposite sides to hold the poles used to carry it.
Exodus 30:4, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These instructions continue God's words to Moses on Mount Sinai, describing the small gold covered altar of incense that would stand inside the tabernacle, just outside the veil before the ark. The rings were practical fittings: set below the decorative gold molding on opposite sides, they held acacia wood poles overlaid with gold so the altar could be carried whenever Israel broke camp.
