Exodus 32:24 meaning and explanation
So I said to them, ‘Whoever has gold, let him take it off,’ and they gave it to me. And when I threw it into the fire, out came this calf!”
Exodus 32:24, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Aaron speaks these words to Moses, who has come down the mountain to find Israel worshiping the golden calf. When Moses asks how Aaron could have led the people into such a sin, Aaron blames the crowd, repeats their demand, and claims the calf simply came out of the fire, as though he had no hand in shaping it.
