Exodus 8:31 meaning and explanation
and the LORD did as Moses requested. He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh and his officials and his people; not one fly remained.
Exodus 8:31, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses has just promised Pharaoh that the flies would leave the next day, and here the LORD keeps that promise through Moses' prayer. The scene is the fourth plague, after the frogs and the gnats, and it shows the LORD acting in response to an intercessor rather than in spite of him.
