Ezekiel 20:33 meaning and explanation
As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, with a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will rule over you.
Ezekiel 20:33, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The elders of Israel have come to inquire of the Lord, and God answers through Ezekiel with a history of Israel's rebellion from Egypt onward. In verse 33 he swears by his own life that he will rule over them "with a strong hand and an outstretched arm," the same words Deuteronomy uses for the exodus from Egypt.
