Ezekiel 21:22 meaning and explanation
In his right hand appears the portent for Jerusalem, where he is to set up battering rams, to call for the slaughter, to lift a battle cry, to direct the battering rams against the gates, to build a ramp, and to erect a siege wall.
Ezekiel 21:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Ezekiel has just described Babylon's king pausing at a fork in the road, using divination to decide whether to attack Rabbah of Ammon or Jerusalem (verses 19 to 21). The omen falls out for Jerusalem, and verse 22 pictures the king holding that answer in his right hand, the hand that will wield the sword.
