Ezekiel 30:4, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Ezekiel is the speaker, a prophet in exile in Babylon, and God has just told him to announce the Day of the LORD against Egypt (verses 2 and 3). Verse 4 describes what that day will look like: the sword, a common image for invading armies, reaches Egypt, and Cush, the region south of Egypt often linked with Nubia, is gripped with anguish.
